Tropical Medicine

Experience - has worked in Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi, and Nepal for a cumulative period of 6 months. Contributed to research at national and international levels.

Qualifications - holds the Diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (Liverpool, 2013) and the Diploma of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (RCOG, 2011).

Austere Environments

Hot - extensive experience of hot environments, operating with vehicles, animals, and on foot at temperatures up to 50*c

Cold - travelled to both the Arctic and Antarctica; worked with Zodiacs, huskies, pulks and skis at temperatures down to -30*c

High - reasonable and ever-increasing experience of altitude. Operated at altitudes up to 6,000m in the Chinese, Indian and Nepalese Himalayas, Alps, Atlas, and in the Simien Mountains.

Dry - extensive experience of desert expeditions, including in the Sahara, Namib, Karakum, Kyzyl Kum, and Thar deserts.
